Q. Typically, when we file 1099's we file by PAYER's taxable entity (line 1 of W-9). We have several disregarded entities, but if a disregarded entity is paying a 1099 reportable vendor, the 1099 will come from the taxable entity that it rolls up to. In the 2023 1099 filings, we identified that there was a number of sites that were filing their 1099's under the PAYER's name which was a disregarded entity.
